The IM WHEB Sustainability Fund – Climate Change
The managers of the IM WHEB Sustainability Fund believe that growing global concern about high energy prices and energy security have resulted in political pressure for a real shift towards sustainable energy alternatives. This has created huge growth potential for companies offering realistic energy efficiency services and solutions. Companies in which the fund invests currently include EnerNOC – a manufacturer of electricity monitoring systems which enable energy providers and users to streamline and reduce their consumption, and Eaga – a UK-based insulation installer helping with the government’s ‘Warm Front’ scheme to manage and reduce domestic energy consumption.
The IM WHEB Sustainability Fund – Demographics and Healthcare
The IM WHEB Sustainability Fund acknowledges the fact that the number of people in the EU aged 85 is set to treble by 2050. This age group require healthcare products and services at 9 times the rate of the rest of the population, creating growing demand for age-oriented healthcare products and services.
Companies you will invest in with an IM WHEB Sustainability Fund investment currently include orthopaedic aids manafacturer Zimmer, and the Italian hearing aids supplier Amplifon.
The IM WHEB Sustainability Fund – Water
Global water usage has tripled since 1980, and two thirds of the world’s population will face water shortages over the coming 15 years. The IM WHEB Sustainability Fund invests in companies that will help meet this demand by providing products and services including water metering, purification, and conservation.
The water industry investments of the IM WHEB Sustainability Fund currently include water metering systems maker Itron, the large Chinese water treatment and supply company Epure, and Insituform, a specialist in water pipe repair technology.
