Principle First offers a range of online investment services, including access to ISA investments and online stock investing through funds.
As a customer, you register online to create your own secure client area. Here, you can not only invest online, but also monitor and manage your investments as well. You can create charts and factsheets to show the performance of your investments, and check their performance and value on a daily basis.
Following login, you can use the ‘Invest Now’ command to see your investment options.
If you have not used up your ISA allowance for the year, you can choose to ‘Invest in ISA’.
Online Stock Investing with Funds
You also have the option to ‘Invest in Unit Trust’ to see your funds investment choices.
In the funds area, our fund strategists have developed a number of ‘recommended portfolio’ options, offering individual investment choices matched to chosen levels of risk tolerance. By using your computer mouse to complete a simple series of 5 questions, you set up your ‘risk profile’, enabling us to make funds recommendations tailored specifically to you.

We also offer our list of the current top 75 funds, as researched by our funds experts from over 1000 available on the market. However, for those more confident in their choices, or simply seeking a particular fund, we also offer here a fuller list with access to funds across the whole market. You can compare these funds by looking at our charts and factsheets.
When choosing funds for your portfolio, you will also have the option to specify monthly or lump sum investment, offering you a flexible investment solution suited to your circumstances.
How to Invest Online
If you do decide to make an investment, simply use our ‘Invest Now’ option, fill in the details on-screen, and follow the instructions. If you are uncertain, or need to speak to one of our advisers, remember that we are standing by to help you online or by telephone.
Transferring between Funds Online
If you have existing funds investments, our online service allows you to very simply move all or part of your investment between funds. By clicking on ‘Invest Now’ you will find an option to ‘Transfer or Re-register’ – then you simply follow the on-screen instructions.
Selling or Withdrawing Capital
This is a simple process involving making a printoff of the form in the Literature Library on our website. When you log in you can click on the link to ‘Print Application Form’. Alternatively you can start from the link under ‘Your Investing Options’, or also access the Literature Library from our homepage. When you have printed off the form, you fill it out and return it to us.
Valuation of Your Investments
When investing online, you can easily view the current value of your portfolio, on-screen and free of charge. Once you have logged in, click on ‘My Reports’ followed by ‘Valuation of Total Portfolio’ for a quick and easy information update on how your investments are performing.
